Oak Blanket Box – A Timeless Classic

There have been all sorts of trends and fashions when it comes to various types of furniture – tastes comes and go over the yeas. But one of the furniture styles that has never really gone away is that of the oak blanket box.

It is certainly becoming very popular again, which is no surprise. These days many people struggle to find enough storage space to store everything that they want – especially with real estate at such a premium. Which is why making use of any available space is so important.

The oak blanket box does that brilliantly, utilising the often wasted space at the foot of the bed by giving you a box to store things in. And of course it doesn’t have to be blankets, despite the name.

The Ottoman

There tends to be some confusion amongst people about what the difference between an oak blanket box and an Ottoman (another timeless classic) is. To be honest there is little difference in this day and age but, historically speaking, an Ottoman is a wooden box that has a cushioned top to allow you to sit on it.

Of course styles change so much that oak blanket boxes could now easily come with a padded seat and still be called an oak blanket box. Confusing but it is the style and form that you should be worried about – not the name of it!

There are many different styles of oak blanket box that you can buy. So it is important that you shop around, look at options, styles and prices so that you can understand what the best possible option is for you.
